SOME SHOW N TELL AT THE ATTIC WINDOW QUILT SHOP

The first meeting of the August Sampler Series at the Attic Window Quilt Shop was held this past Saturday.  I’ll show you more about the new blocks tomorrow, but first you will want to see all the wonderful show-n-tell.  Above, Marge shows us this darling quilt that she made for her great grandson.  She said it is from a kit.
Marge also showed us this quilt that she made for her soon-to-arrive new great granddaughter. You probably can't see it, but there is a growth chart on the side.  Darling!
Marge also made this adorable dress for that soon-to-arrive great granddaughter.  How precious.
Speaking of Baby Quilts, Chris showed us this cute baby quilt.  She said she has lots of kits made up in various fabrics for anyone who wants to make a quick and easy baby quilt.
Judy R. showed us her One Block Wonder quilt.  Isn’t it stunning!
Glenna showed us the Classmate bag that she made.  Love that adorable fabric!  These bags are so handy to have.  Most of us use them for sewing items, but I've seen them used for makeup or jewelry when traveling.  I'm sure Marilyn has a class coming up if you are interested.
How would you like to win this beautiful quilt?  It is the quilt that Chris made for the church raffle.  St. Joseph’s Church in Wright is having its festival on Sunday, August 10th, from 12 – 5 p.m.  Mary T. said you can get the best chicken dinner there.  You can purchase raffle tickets at the festival or get your winning ticket (we hope) at the shop.

More tomorrow about the Sampler class.

DON’T FORGET
  • HAPPY SCRAPPERS meets this Saturday at the shop.  Anyone interested in this fun Bee is welcome to attend.
  • Vickie S. will be teaching you how to use the Squedge Tool on Thursday, August 7th, from 10 a.m. -2 p.m.  We will learn how to use this tool and make a table topper or table runner (your choice).  Or you can take the class when Vickie teaches it again on Friday, August 15th from 10-2.  The fee for each class is $10.
  • AQS Quilt Week in Grand Rapids begins Wednesday, August 20th, at DeVos Place Convention Center.
ANOTHER NOTE:
  • Did you check out the Row By Row Shop Hop website?  This is a must for anyone traveling.
  • Sew 4 Home has a tutorial for a Stadium Blanket and Canvas Tote. This would be a great gift for that kid going off to college.
Until next time,

Stay Calm! Stay Kind! Stay Positive!
