NEW BLOCK FOR COOKBOOK BOM

Well, you can tell I've been out of the loop lately.  This is the block the Quilt Block Cookbook BOM group was to make this month and not the one I previously announced.  I discovered my mistake when the group met Wednesday at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  This is recipe 22 Sugarplum.

Above, the group holds up their block so I can take pictures.  Aren't they pretty!
Cathy shows us the block everyone will be making this month.  This block is recipe 25 Mayberry.

TIP:  Cathy had a nice tip for making these drunkard's path squares.  She suggested we first fold and crease the center of each of the two curve pieces of the drunkard's path square.  Then put the two pieces together, making sure the ends match.  Take a few stay stitches at each end of the curve.  Then make sure the center creases match and pin.  Now sew the curve, easing in the fabric as you sew.  This will make a perfect curve!
Thanks Cathy!!!

What a fun block. The names that people come up with like Cook book, jelly roll...etc...clever.
