Here is how they looked after they were stitched down. Now if I can only decide how to quilt it.
This is a closeup of the hearts. I think this picture was taken before I stitched them down.
I saw on the Clever Chameleon Blog a tutorial for using those bits and pieces of left over fabrics to make a heart. I certainly had lots of left over fabrics after making those hearts for that table topper, so I made the heart above.
Now I have that heart, and one left over heart from Barb's table topper (I made one too many) and lots of little hearts from the centers of those hearts in that table topper. So now I'm trying to figure out a design for a table topper so I can use all these scraps up. Any ideas?
DON'T FORGET to sign up for the Heart of Winter Tour bus trip on Saturday, Feb. 10th. You can read about it here. I'm really looking forward to visiting the four shops on the tour.

Thanks so much for the shout out...love the fabrics you chose.
That table topper is darling! What a cute pattern. I really like the leftover hearts too - can't wait to see what you make.
How about a repeat of the round topper you´ve made, except using the hearts to applique a centered heart-shape? The pieced, dark "full" heart at the bottom point, outline-heart center (or top, inner point), and the little hearts shaping the rest of the heart..... or an asymmetrical "x" for a squared topper could be displayed on point, the two large hearts on either end of the horizontal leg (the outline-heart "filled" with one of your little dark hearts).... or "tree trunk" the little hearts, plant that prominent one top of the trunk, the open one upside-down above it and branch with the rest (... and if you´ve got a lot of little heart buttons, or feel like embroidering, fill in that heart tree :o))... These may have led to an idea for you, in any case I know you´re happy if you´re appliqueing, Caroll! LoL xoxo
Love your pretty hearts, Caroll. You’ll have beautiful February decorations with these pieces. And you remind me to get my very old but very loved heart table topper out myself. If I can get to it. Haven’t seen it in 7 or 8 years now. It’ll be like having a new decoration all over again. I made it with heart shapes in different sizes and different fabrics over lapping, going in a meandering of direction the length of the runner.
