HAPPY SCRAPPERS AND A BIRTHDAY!

The Happy Scrappers met at the Attic Window Quilt Shop this past Saturday.  What a great group!  First, I want to show you this adorable machine pincushion that Janey made and gave to me.  It is perfect for my machine and so handy!  Thank you so much Janey!

Everyone, wish Mary a Happy Birthday.  Today, she worked on making another quilt for charity.  A very special Happy Birthday to this special lady!
We had some show-n-tell, of course.  Vickie D. made this small quilt using special Drunkard's Path templates.  I think she will have a class on the October calendar.  Be sure and look for it!
Vickie said she used these special templates with markings that made making these circles so much easier.  You can get the templates at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.
Vickie also made this Bat wall hanging.  So cute and perfect for this time of year!  The postcard pattern is at the Attic Window Quilt Shop!
Nancy J. joined us today.  So nice to meet her.  She was busy making these Star blocks for a quilt for one of her grandchildren.  Her goal is to make each of her grandchildren a quilt.  I think she said that would be six.  Welcome Nancy.  Hope to see you next month.
JanaLee was busy making another comfort quilt for Pieces of the Heart. What a great project!
Nancy S. was busy working on a Halloween project.  This is an embroidery project.  Looks like a fun wall hanging.

I can't believe I didn't get a picture of what Janey was working on.  I know she had some pretty green half square triangles, but I think we got interrupted and forgot all about taking a picture.  Guess that happens when you get oldd.  And I really feel old today.  I've been dog sitting all week and let me tell you I'm not used to all that walking and picking up and not being able to just go when I please.

Be sure and mark your calendar NOW for the next Happy Scrappers on Saturday, October 30th.  All are welcome.  Vickie D. has agreed to give a demo on a new way to do binding that is so much easier and makes the corners look so nice!  Can't wait to watch that.

Be sure and stop in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop and check out all the new items.  The shop is open Monday-Friday, 10-5; Saturday, 10-4.
Hugs, Caroll
