NEW SAMPLER BLOCK AND OTHER INFO

As promised yesterday, there are more photos of the happenings at the Sampler class at the Attic Window Quilt Shop.  Above are samples of the blocks we will be making this month.  Looks like a lot of piecing for me, but it will be good to stretch my skills.
This block should be easy since Chris gave us a wonderful demonstration on how to make this block.

THINGS OF INTEREST:
  • Do YOU have Pareidolia?  The InBox Jaunt has a cute blog post today about it.  Be sure to click on her link to see more.
  • Interested in a Quilt-Along?  Fun Threads has a Summer Themed quilt along that starts in October.  You can read about it here.  Fun Threads also has a Winter Themed quilt along which starts Sept. 1.  You can read about it here.  They both sound like fun.
DON’T FORGET:
  • HAPPY SCRAPPERS meets this Saturday at the shop.  Anyone interested in this fun Bee is welcome to attend.
  • Vickie S. will be teaching you how to use the Squedge Tool on Thursday, August 7th, from 10 a.m. -2 p.m.  We will learn how to use this tool and make a table topper or table runner (your choice).  Or you can take the class when Vickie teaches it again on Friday, August 15th from 10-2.  The fee for each class is $10.
  • AQS Quilt Week in Grand Rapids begins Wednesday, August 20th, at DeVos Place Convention Center.
ANOTHER NOTE:
  • Did you check out the Row By Row Shop Hop website?  This is a must for anyone traveling.
  • Sew We Quilt has a nice tutorial for making snap tape bags.  These would make great gifts too.
Until next time,

Stay Calm! Stay Kind! Stay Positive!

That looks like a really nice block to use for a signature quilt.
