The Doll Bee was in session and I had to take a look at what they were doing. Above are two Gail Wilson dolls that Connie made. Aren't they adorable!
Kelly was busy painting a face on her doll. You need a steady hand to do this and lots of practice.
Julie was right there beside Kelly instructing her. Above, Julie shows us this fine tipped brush that they use. Can you see it? I think it has maybe one hair left in it but that is what they want for the fine features on a doll's face. Julie said they buy a very fine tip brush and then trim it down to what they want. Julie also said she wants to shout out a big thank you to Ms. Waters who donated this doll kit to the group.
Above are some of the clothes that Kelly made for her doll.
I am so impressed by this group of women. They make these beautiful dolls and all the clothes for them. What talent! I'm so glad I got up to the shop today and could see what they are doing. You can join Julie's Doll Group any time. They meet weekly every Thursday.
