Marjorie Johnson, our reader from Utah sent us this picture of her work. Marjorie said she made this years ago when she took a class with Phillips Fiber Art owner. Marjorie said that she used a special ruler to make the circles and set them in using only 4 to 8 pins. After she made it, she didn't know what to do with it and put it away. Recently she pulled it out of her pile and decided to finish it.
Marjorie said that she lives in southern Utah about 130 miles from Las Vegas and that the temperature is supposed to be 107 today and tomorrow. (I swear I will never complain about Michigan weather again.)
This is what Marjorie wrote:
"I love the tutorial you posted about using scraps. I currently have
probably two bushel of scraps. Some of the ladies use them to stuff dog
beds for the shelter but I can't make myself do that so I just keep making
scraps. I am going to try pressing and organizing then I can give making
scrap blocks a try. You seem to have such talented quilters that are friends. It would be so
fun to have a group like yours."
Thank you Marjorie. So sweet of you to say. And I agree. They are a wonderful group of women.
