ROW by ROW EXPERIENCE FREE PATTERN

The theme for Row by Row Experience this year is Sew Musical.  You won’t want to miss the free pattern from the Attic Window Quilt Shop.

Row by Row Experience is for avid quilters and sewers who love to travel and love to add the next new quilt to their collection. Since 2011, Row by Row Experience has engaged tens of thousands of quilters all over the world with the fun of collecting free row patterns while visiting local quilt shops, then creating themed quilts projects using the rows they collect.

On the business side, Row by Row Experience has given thousands of quilt shop owners a needed boost in foot traffic during the traditionally slow months of summer. Quilt shop owners have welcome traveling quilters into their stores to enjoy the unique shopping experience they each create.

Here are the Row by Row Rules
  • Visit any participating RxR quilt shop to pick up your free RxR Sew Musical themed row pattern. One pattern per person.
  • Each shop creates a pattern, then gives it away for one row in a row quilt.
  • Collect as many rows as you can, then mix and match your rows to create a fun and unique quilt.
  • Have fun traveling, shopping and collecting as many different patterns as you like during the RxR collecting period, June 21–September 4, 2018.
  • Have more fun making the rows and designing a quilt. Visit other participating shops all over the US, Canada and Europe to add rows to your quilt if you wish.
  • Be the first person to bring a finished (quilted, bound, labeled) quilt using at least 8 different rows from 8 different participating stores into a participating quilt shop and receive a bundle of 25 beautiful fat quarters.
  • Rowers may include The 9th Row and RxR Junior designs in a RxR quilt, but they may not be counted as one of the 8 rows needed to win a prize.
  • Include their row in your quilt and receive a bonus prize! Limit one prize per person
You can read more about the Row by Row Experience on their website.

Be sure and stop in at the Attic Window Quilt Shop and get your free pattern. You may also purchase a kit.  Make it one of your 9 rows and maybe win a prize!

ROW BY ROW WINNER

Above is Jackie Huizen who is the winner of the Attic Window Quilt Shop’s Row By Row Experience.  Jackie created the above quilt by collecting rows from the various participating shops.  Isn’t it lovely! You can see it when you stop in at the shop as it is hanging on the wall there.

Are you participating in the Row By Row Experience?  Between June 21 and September 8, you can collect at least eight different 2015 rows from eight different 2015 participating Row By Row shops.  The first person to bring in a completed quilt using the above eight rows and bring it in to a participating shop can win a stack of 25 fat quarters.  You must use that shop’s row in your quilt to win a bonus prize.  You have until Oct. 31, 2015 to bring your completed quilt to a participating shop.  However, only one winner per shop.  Jackie is the first to bring in her finished quilt, so she is the Attic Window Quilt Shop’s winner!

Check out the Row By Row Experience here.  You can still be a winner.

ATTIC WINDOW ROW BY ROW

I love the pattern that Chris designed this year for the Attic Window Quilt Shop's Row By Row Experience.
Several people have asked how she makes the spools of thread.
She will give you a quick demo when you pick up your kit.
I know she somehow stitches the threads over these knitting needles.  I'm sure if you get a group together she will be glad to do a special demo for you.  Just give her a call and ask.

MORE BACKGOUNDS FOR ROW BY ROW

Above is just part of the row that Chris designed for the Attic Window Quilt Shop's entry into the Row by Row Experience.  Kits are available for this design with various background fabrics.  Above is just one of those fabrics.
This is another example of one of the backgrounds being offered.  These are so darn cute, it is going to be difficult for me to decide!  You can read more about the Row by Row Experience here.
Jill stopped in at the shop on Wednesday to leave this quilt to be quilted.  Jilll does excellent work and I had to show it to you.  The pattern is Ophelia's Wedding Cake.  Jill made it for her Goddaughter.

A customer stopped in at the shop on Wednesday and I also had to take a picture of her stunning quilt.  Nancy, who made this quilt, said the pattern name is Mrs. Lincoln's Sampler by Lori Smith.
This is a closeup of one of the blocks.  I think these blocks are only six inches square.  Beautiful work!

ROW BY ROW ABOUT TO BEGIN

Have you heard of the Row by Row Experience?  Above is the adorable quilt that Chris designed for the Attic Window Quilt Shop to distribute during the "experience."
This is a closer view of the quilt and the "license plate" which is also available for purchase.  The Row by Row Experience is like a nationwide shop hop with no fees, cards, or stamps.  You can read more about it here.
I think what makes this quilt unique is the clever way that Chris instructs you to make the spools of thread.
I'm not sure how it is done but you use small knitting needles (or another small object) and you sew over them until  you get the desired look.
This year’s theme is H2O.  Collect the patterns for free by visiting the shops during the summer - June 21 - September 8, 2015.
Kits are also available.  Above are samples of the background fabrics that will be provided in the Attic Window’s kits.

Take advantage and visit participating shops during your summer vacation.  Click on the Start Here tab to learn about the shops in your area or state or place you will be visiting.  For instance, click on the license plate for Michigan and you can see a list of the participating shops.

At the Row By Row Experience you can also download a free pattern for a tote bag from Timeless Treasures.  The link is on the front page, just scroll down.

DON’T FORGET:
  • Twilling Bee, Friday, 1 p.m.
  • UFO, Friday, 3 p.m.
  • Happy Scrappers, Saturday, 10 p.m.
Hope you have a fun weekend.
